Related institutions. Distinct responsibilities.

GCCEI and GCCEG operate in related environmental fields but perform different institutional functions.

GCCEI

GCCEI asks: What is understood?

Its role is centred on understanding, education, research, evidence assessment, comparative analysis, public knowledge, institutional guidance and governance principles.

GCCEG

GCCEG asks: What can responsibly be engineered and implemented?

Its role is centred on engineering, infrastructure and implementation within defined scope.

Why the distinction matters

A research conclusion should not become a commercial endorsement merely because the institutions are related. GCCEI findings must remain capable of supporting, qualifying or rejecting a technology, project assumption or environmental claim. GCCEG implementation decisions remain subject to their own engineering, contractual and territorial requirements.

Shared subject matter does not erase institutional responsibility. The distinction protects both the independence of understanding and the integrity of implementation.
